On Friday, October 19th, the Department held its 99th Annual Inspection at Knollwood Country Club.
The inspection was well attended and included a number dignitaries and visiting chiefs.
On display was the new Engine 137, which was recently delivered, and will be in service very soon.
The Department honored Deputy Chief John Constantino and Ex-Chief William Zimkin for 50 years of service.
The Department recognized Chief Nelson and Elmsford Police Officer Douglas Ramirez, with a Life Saving Award, for their efforts in reviving an unresponsive patient, who had stopped breathing and had no pulse.
The Department also recognized Greenburgh Paramedic Paul Mullins, Deputy Chief Syd Henry and EMT Anthony Uva, with an EMS Citation, for their efforts in assisting Chief Diaz and Officer Ramirez with the previously mentioned patient.
