At 1401 hours, Fire and EMS was dispatched to the report of a serious motor vehicle accident, over the guard rail and down the embankment, with possible entrapment on the Saw Mill River Parkway, northbound, at Milemarker 12.4, south of Eastview.
Responding units found the vehicle involved, as reported over the guard rail and down the embankment, but with no entrapment.
Both occupants, who were wearing their seat belts, were out of the vehicle and claiming only minor injuries.
They were transported to Westchester Medical Center Emergency Dept. for evaluation.
The lack of severe injuries or worse is definitely a testimony to the importance of wearing seat belts.
Seat belts definitely save lives!!!
