Elmsford Fire and EMS is just completing a busy Saturday and Sunday of responses.
Saturday morning EMS responded to Motel 6, West Main St. on the report of an unresponsive male to find that he had expired.
Saturday evening Fire and EMS responded to Hartsdale Road and South Mortimer Ave. on the report of a serious MVA with injuries, vehicle into a utility pole, finding two injured occupants. The injured were transported to Westchester Medical Center by Ambulance 58B-1 and Greenburgh EMS ambulance.
This MVA caused a very momentary power outage in the area, where lights flashed off and then back on.
Sunday afternoon Fire Units responded to a reported structure fire on South French. Responding units found a small fire in an unattached garage, which was easily and quickly extinguished.
During the above mentioned fire, EMS was dispatched to Extended Stay of America, West Main Street, on the report of a male who had fallen a significant distance from the rear parking structure. Patient was transported to Westchester Medical Center by Ambulance 58B-1 for treatment of serious, but not life threatening injuries.
This activity was in addition to 8 other Fire and EMS less significant responses for a total of 12 runs!!
