At 3:10 AM, Engine 137 and Ambulance 58B-1 were dispatched to a serious motor vehicle accident, with entrapment, on East Main St. under the Sprain Brook Pkwy overpass.
Responding units found a vehicle on its roof, involving one occupant, with heavy entrapment. Patient was rapidly extricated, with the assistance of Fairview Engine 175 and Rescue 3, and transported, with Greenburgh ALS onboard, to Westchester Medical Center by 58B-1.
Subsequent investigation revealed that the vehicle involved had been traveling southbound on the Sprain Brook Pkwy, gone over a concrete barrier and dropped about 100 feet onto East Main Street, landing on its roof.
Elmsford PD and State Police on the scene for the investigation.
